During the Infinity Saga period of the MCU, we fans got to witness a very amazing and well organised journey of the infinity stones, which ultimately resulted in the events of Avengers Endgame. During the whole journey, we got to see the use of Infinity stones thrice which were used by Thanos, Hulk and Iron man. We may not see the Infinity stones being used in the future MCU movies as director Joe Russo has confirmed that the story of the Infinity stones is complete now. But, when we take a look at the comic books of Marvel, then we find that there are not just three, but lot more characters who have used the stones at different points of time. Keep reading and you will know about the top ten characters from the comics who have used the infinity stones in comics.

Ten Characters who have used Infinity Gauntlet

Before starting the list keep in mind that the characters in this list are not arranged in terms their ability or strength. The character at position ten is also equally important as that of position one. Also, we have not included Thanos in this list as everyone already knows that Thanos has used the Infinity Gauntlet multiple times in the comics. With that being informed, let’s begin our list.

10) Nebula

In the comic book ‘Infinity Gauntlet #5’ when Thanos used the Infinity stones to wipe out half of the universe (just like the MCU) and also defeated a cosmic entity Eternity, he became the strongest creature of the Marvel multiverse. At that time he used to beat the hell out of Nebula just for fun and kept her as her punching doll. After some time when Thanos decided to leave his physical body and become a cosmic enetity, at that time Nebula grabbed the opportunity and took out the Gauntlet from Thanos’ body and used it to restore back everything that Thanos had done. But the twist came in the story when Nebula also got corrupted by the continuous use of the Gauntlet and…

9) Adam Warlock

He is the most popular character of this list who is renowned to use the Infinity Gauntlet more than once in the comic books. In the comic issue ‘Infinity Gauntlet #6’ when Nebula got corrupted by continuous use of Infinity Gauntlet and started destroying the cosmic entities, at that time Adam Warlock used his powers and transferred himself into the Soul Stone. Very soon he occupied all other stones by travelling inside them one by one, and ultimately he took off the Gauntlet from Nebula and reversed the mess she had created.

In the future comics, Adam Warlock formed a team to encounter situations like this and named it ‘The Infinity Watch’. But due to its dull stories and boring timeline, the fans didn’t like the concept as much as it was expected, and hence this group soon vanished from the comics.

8) Spiderman

You may not have expected this character in this list, but it is true that our friendly neighbourhood Spiderman has also used the Infinity Gauntlet at some point of time. In a kids friendly issue of Marvel comics named ‘Avengers and the Infinity Gauntlet’, we got to see the story of Thanos using the infinity stones again, but this time there was not so much violence and also the comic was a lot humorous.

In this storyline, Thanos used the infinity stones to vanish the people rather than killing them. In the final battle scene when all the superheroes were trying to defeat Thanos, Spiderman took out his Gauntlet smartly and used it for making a wish. He wished that Thanos never gets the stones and it happened so.

7) Reed Richards

In the main storyline of the Marvel comics, after the Kree-Skrull war, Iron man created a team called ‘Illuminati’ which consisted of Iron man, Reed Richards, Professor X, Namor, Doctor Strange and Blackbolt. This team was formed to monitor all the major incidents of the comics and take action as required.

Once when Reed Richards said that to prevent any major cosmic level threat, they should find and destroy the infinity stones. The members of the Illuminati managed to collect all stones and Reed Richards tried to destroy the stones by the help of the stones itself, but he failed in it. After this failure, the Illuminati decided to distribute the six stones among the six members so that the stones could be kept separated.

6) Captain America

During the storyline of ‘New Avengers #3’, it was found that the multiverse was squeezing rapidly due to some reason, and soon an alternate Earth was going to collide with our Earth. To tackle this situation, the Illuminati assembled once again and decided to use the infinity stones to push back the alternate Earth away from our Earth. For this purpose, the Illuminati selected our own Captain America. But, while Cap was using the stones, a little mishap took place and the alternate Earth got completely destroyed. After this event, the Illuminati erased Captain America’s memory so that he doesn’t feel guilty about it.

5) Doctor Doom

In the same storyline where Captain America used the Infinity Gauntlet, it was further revealed that the event of multiverse collision was taking place due to the Beyonders. To stop this phenomena, Doctor Strange and Doctor Doom worked together and created a new world called ‘Battle World’ with the help of the Infinity Gauntlet and its powers. This world was created in order to solve the issues of the Beyonders. After some time, Doctor Doom betrays and kills Doctor Strange in order to become the supreme leader.

Doctor Doom has also used the Infinity Gauntlet in the ‘Fantastic Four #16’ and tries to create a council of Doom by summoning different Doctor Dooms from different realities. But the Fantastic Four somehow manage to take away the Gauntlet from him and stop his evil intentions.

4) Black Panther

In the same storyline mentioned in point 5, before his death, Doctor Strange has hidden the Indinity Gauntlet in a secret place, in order to keep it away from Doctor Doom, which was later discovered by Black Panther. Black Panther used the Infinity Gauntlet to defeat Doctor Doom and also used the time stone to restore back the world to how it was before.

3) Darkseid

You may be surprised from this character appearing in this list as Darkseid is a DC character, but it is true. In a Avengers/JLA crossover comics Darkseid somehow managed to acquire the Infinity Gauntlet along with the stones in order to use it in his own DC universe. But when he tried to use the stones in his universe, it didn’t work. Hence Darkseid threw away the Gauntlet in anger.

2) Hulk

We have seen Hulk using the Infinity Gauntlet in Avengers Endgame movie, but when we turn the pages of comics, we find a more breath stopping scene where Hulk has used the Gauntlet. In the Ultimate universe of Marvel comics, there were total 8 Infinity stones and two Gauntlets which were kept in the SHIELD lockers. Later in the storyline, Kang the conqueror somehow manages to steal the Gauntlets from SHIELD and gives it to a mind controlled Hulk.

After this the situation goes like, the Avengers had to face a mind controlled Hulk who was wearing not one but two Infinity Gauntlets. After a long and harsh battle, the Avengers somehow managed to defeat the Hulk with the help of Iron man’s armour.

1) Iron Man

Finally, the last member of our list is Iron Man. Just like Avengers Endgame, Tony has used the Gauntlet in comics too. In the storyline of ‘Avengers #12’, The Hood manages to collect all the Infinity stones and use for his selfish purpose. The Avengers struggle a lot to defeat him, but they couldn’t. At last, Iron man somehow tricks The Hood and occupies all the Infinity stones. After that he uses the Gauntlet and destroys the stones itself. Later it was revealed that the stones are not actually destroyed and it was all due to the use of Reality Stone. After that, once again Iron man distributes the stones to the Illuminati, in order to keep them safe.

So this was our list of Top 10 characters who have used the Infinity Gauntlet in the comics. Hope you’ve liked it.
