Is Spider-Verse possible in the MCU ?

Hello Spiderman Fans, what’s up? So recently Sony has dropped its new ‘Morbius’ trailer which gave us a clear hint about the connection between MCU and Sony’s universe, when we saw Vulture from ‘Spiderman: Homecoming’ appearing in ‘Morbius’. Also from ‘Spiderman: Far from Home’ we fans got to know that there exists a multiverse in MCU. Yeah, Mysterio was fake, but the multiverse is real. How can we say so? It is because in future MCU is planning a Doctor Strange sequel named ‘Multiverse of Madness’.
So now when I say that there is a Spiderman in MCU as well as a Multiverse too, then the first thought that will pop up in your mind is:

So my friend, if this question shook your head too, then keep reading this post as I will be discussing some of the factors and possibilities of the characters who can appear in the Spider verse of MCU.
Now, if you don’t know then let me tell you that recently Sony and Marvel made a deal regarding Spiderman due to which both Sony and Marvel can use this character in their upcoming movies. We also know the fact that Sony and Spiderman have a long past together, starting from Tobey Maguire’s Spiderman, then Andrew Garfield’s Spiderman and then finally Tom Holland’s Spiderman. So now I will discuss about some characters from these 3 movies and their possibility to appear in MCU in the future to form a Spider verse.
Tobey Maguire’s Spiderman
Many of you will agree with me that this was so far the best Spiderman we have seen in the cinematic universe. The 3 parts included in this series were written and directed by Sam Raimi and all 3 were blockbusters and made a huge collection in the box office. But unfortunately we didn’t get to see ‘Spiderman 4’ which was set to release in the year 2009. This happened because of Sony’s interference in Sam Raimi’s work. Sam had already written the script for Spiderman 4, in which we were meant to see Mysterio, Vulture and Black Cat as antagonists. But Sony wanted Sam to also include the villain Lizard alongside the other 3 villains. Sam refused to do so and hence Sony fired Sam from the movie and ultimately ‘Spiderman 4’ got cancelled.
After some days, Sony came up with ‘The Amazing Spiderman’ in which we saw Lizard as the villain as Sony wished. But the fact of matter is that, before ‘The Amazing Spiderman’ was released Sony’s CEO at that time Amy Pascal said in a media interview that the story of the Amazing Spiderman takes place in an alternate universe. From this statement, we got a clear hint that in future if Sony wants, then it can also use the Tobey Maguire’s Spiderman in future movies as a Spiderman from alternate dimension. If this happens ever in the future then we can say that Tobey’s Spiderman can appear in MCU to form the Spider verse.
Andrew Garfield’s Spiderman
Among the 3 Spiderman we have seen in the cinematic universe, Andrew’s Spiderman is the worse portrayal of Spiderman. We know this from the fact that both the Amazing Spiderman movies have very low Box office collection as well as low rotten tomatoes rating. Now if you don’t know then let me tell you that the 3rd and 4th parts of ‘The Amazing Spiderman’ series were also planned to be released in 2016 and 2018. But on the day of the announcement of the 3rd movie in Rio, Brazil Andrew Garfield refused to attend the ceremony and also left the movie franchise. This was a subject of shame for Sony and hence Sony’s CEO decided to discontinue the series totally with no chance of remake. This will definitely make Garfield’s fans sad that there is no chance that we’ll ever see Andrew’s Spiderman again in the cinematic universe. Hence there is no chance of him appearing and joining the Spider Verse in MCU.
Tom Holland’s Spiderman
Tom’s Spiderman is the current Spiderman in the cinematic universe. Debuting in the movie ‘Captain America: Civil War’ we have seen a cool journey of his character in the MCU till date. We will also get to see this character in future movies of Sony as well as Marvel. In the whole list you are reading, Tom’s Spiderman has the maximum chances of appearing and joining the Spider verse in MCU.
Gwen Stacy as ‘Spider-Gwen’
Spider-Gwen is one among the very popular characters we see in the Spiderman comics. This character first appeared in movies in Sam Raimi’s ‘Spiderman 3’. After that we saw this character again in ‘The Amazing Spiderman’ franchise portrayed by Emma Stone, in which she died in the 2nd part. There was a rumor that we may have got to see her resurrection in the 3rd part of the franchise, but sadly it never released. We also got to see Gwen Stacy’s animated character in Sony’s 2018 movie ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’, and since then fans are wondering that will we ever again get to see this character in live action in the Spiderman movies of MCU? Now if we talk about the possibility of this character’s appearance in MCU’s Spider Verse then we have to take a look at some facts. Firstly, since Tobey Maguire’s Spiderman have a narrow chance of return in the future hence so is that of Gwen of that Universe. Secondly, we will never get the Amazing Spiderman franchise films again, hence Emma Stone’s Gwen is permanently dead. Finally, sometimes ago it was in rumors that Marvel will be working on a solo series of Gwen Stacy. Hence we can say that Spider-Gwen can definitely join Spider Verse of MCU but we cannot predict when, and also which Gwen Stacy will be there in Spider Verse.
Miles Morales
Since this character’s first cinematic appearance in 2018’s ‘Spiderman: into the Spider-verse’, Spidey fans are crazy about this character. But along with craze, fans are also wondering that will we get to see this character’s live action appearance in the MCU? So the answer for this is ’Yes’. Do you remember the guy in ‘Spiderman: Homecoming’ named Aaron Davis, who helped Spiderman by telling him about Vulture’s current location? He is the exact same person who is Miles’ uncle and King Pin’s guard ‘Prowler’ in Sony’s ‘Into the Spider-Verse’ movie. Hence from the connection we can predict that there may be a Miles in MCU too but till now he may have not achieved his super powers. Hence this character also qualifies for an appearance in MCU’s Spider Verse.
Spiderman Noir
Every time someone talks about Spider Verse, this character definitely comes into mind. This is a black suited older version of Peter Parker from another dimension. We have seen this character on screen in Sony’s ‘Spiderman: into the Spider-verse’ movie. But our main question here is that can we see this character in real in MCU? So the answer here is that we may or may not see this character in MCU. You remember in ‘Spiderman: Far from Home’ movie we got to see a special suit designed by S.H.I.E.L.D. for Spiderman, whom Ned called the ‘Night Monkey’ suit? That suit by far is the closest reference to Spiderman Noir in MCU. So, my theory here is that since that suit is made by S.H.I.E.L.D., so in future they can select another person or agent who will have spider powers like Spiderman, but he will work for S.H.I.E.L.D. Hence, there is a 50–50 chance of this character’s appearance in MCU’s Spider Verse in future.
Flash Thompson as ‘Agent Venom’
Okay, so this is going to be my final and the craziest theory regarding to MCU’s Spiderverse. In the ‘Homecoming’ and ‘Far from Home’ movies we have seen Flash Thompson, a bully who always irritates Peter. On the other hand we also know that after the Sony-Marvel deal, Tom Hardy’s Venom and Tom Holland’s Spiderman are now in the same universe. Hence there is a good possibility that in Future we may get to see the Venom symbiote somehow bonding with Flash Thompson and forming one of the badass comic’s character ‘Agent Venom’. In comics as well as in ‘Ultimate Spiderman’ animated series, we have seen Agent Venom and Spiderman working together alongside other Spidermen from Spider Verse. Hence, there is a huge possibility that we may get to see this character in future, that too in MCU’s Spider Verse.
